OCD and Pervasive Ruminations are no fun at all. As a therapist, I have grown more and more interested in supporting people with these challenges as I know how debilitating obsessive thought patterns can be. When they come in and do their thing, it can feel like a relentless situation. We work together to break down the cycle and patterning of obsessions and compulsions to better understand what is happening and how to intervene on your own behalf.
I have training in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), the two main therapeutic approaches in the mental health world for OCD and Ruminations. Since no two people are alike, we will work together to test the waters and find what tools and approaches are most effective for you.
All therapy support with me includes looking at basic self care routines and practices, including lifestyle habits. The foods you eat, movement or exercise, and media you take in all impact your state of well being and mental health. There is no shortage of stimuli and things to consume in today's world.
I am a good fit for people looking to approach their wellness holistically, placing attention to their lifestyle routines, support from medical providers, and treatment approaches including Exposure Response Prevention and Inference-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
