Therapeutic
Journaling
In 2023, I realized I needed to do something with all my physical journals. I had gathered them in boxes since I was 10 years old, and there simply wasn't space in my life to keep lugging them around with each move. They were smelling musty, and some were even damp in the boxes after being stored in a place where moisture reached the vulnerable paper.
I created a process, and it is in development for how to work through old journals, reaping the rewards from taking notes on previous chapters of life, while finding a way to let go of what does not need to come with into future chapters.
This may include scanning to preserve, or not. It may include choosing key aspects to revisit, and perhaps exploring parts that have a little more to say from those times. It may involve repurposing past entries and updating narratives into a more current version of your life and reality as you wish it to stand today.
There is also plenty of room to explore how journaling can be an incredible tool to incorporate into one's tool kit of self inquiry and self care.
